Lots of things today

 Lunged: started out pretty well and forward and happy. a few snark faces at me. Tried to change directions on me but did it both ways so..  got a little more braced when she was jogging with me. but would soften and relax in the slower tempo. But at least the slower tempo today looked relaxed instead of stabby. 

debated lunging in field but didn't because of rain and laziness on my part. 

After lunged, put the bridle on and got on bareback. Immediately started rooting and doing her lip wiggles. got on... still felt sound at the walk but definitely not as happy as the other day. Picked up the trot and definitely lame... can't tell where. worse tracking right still. but not as lame as with the saddle the other day. (Saddle? Previcox? ). 

turned her out for a bit and then later caught her for her shoulder girdle injections. was good and drunk. until I got to her scapular edge.. then very fussy and reactive. especially right trap insertion. fascially tight there, lots of trigger points. So.. we shall see

  And today was a better day. I still was sad and even cried this morning, mostly because of hormones. But... Dr. DeClue called me as I was pulling into Barrows for my vet appt. She told me not to worry about working up the lameness, but to hold steady. She said that the shockwave changes how things feel and that's probably why she looked worse yesterday. And she said that she needed her neck facets done. And then I was like "Can I bring her to you again?" and she said yes. Phew. So, she'll send me dates soon. So that helped. Just... stay the course Holly. And then I adore Dr. Barrow too. I basically told her the whole story and she listened and didn't blow me off. She didn't dismiss anything and she was smart and had good ideas! We checked her front feet with hoof testers and she was negative so she didn't think it was her feet. Well.... progress and then a standstill

  Today was supposed to be XC schooling in Aiken but the other 9 riders bailed, so... Jacel opted to just school XC at Ashland. Which, with this heat and humidity, probably a better call than hauling for 4 hours. And it worked out well because I ended up getting someone to come spray my pastures for army worms today vs Mon or Tues, so.. hopefully this will save my pastures! Especially since it was not cheap. Sigh. But because I was at Ashland I was able to meet him and lock ponies up while he sprayed.  So, we met up and rode with Julia and Laura. Yay! I hadn't ridden with Laura in eons it felt like. And we rode at 10, so... still hot but maybe not as humid? I don't know... regardless we were all literally dripping sweat and puffing. Laura couldn't even wear her glasses they kept fogging up and then she said "I think even my eyeballs are fogging up". Hee hee. It was bad. But like... it's been bad. I'm so over it. Chill girl at the Tik clinic

  I'm so proud of Lyric. And a little bit of me too.  Lyric and I went to the Tik Maynard clinic today at Pascova Farm. Bless her because my dumb self didn't pay attention that the start time had moved up 30 minutes until after I woke up this morning. I had wanted to get there to listen to the first lecture and watch the first group of groundwork but more importantly, Allisa told me I could park in the barn area and put her in a stall for the day so I had to get there before everyone else so I could get the trailer in before people started parking and clogging up the area. And of course, on Thursday I didn't feel like getting gas on my way home because it was hot and figured I'd do it later, forgetting I was going to have to get up early to go to the clinic. So this morning after I woke up and was getting ready I realized I was going to be running late.
