Stressage

Today we rode at home. And, she didn't run from me when I went to catch her. And I had to catch her 3 times today! First to pull clothes... a second time to deworm her.. and then finally to ride! Good girl! That's encouraging. However she was still a bit fussy and cranky when I put the saddle on again. ugh.... I don't know if it's ulcers still... or she doesn't like the peter horrobin saddle now? Maybe I need to try the stubben again. Sigh. Ugh.

We did our pillar warm up on the ground. Then I got on and we did the square homework. I forgot about the counterbend tracking right until the end of my ride. Oops, but it did help once I remembered it. After we did our walk warm up I put the pivo on and videoed. It was an okay ride. We had lots of nice moments but also probably more not so nice moments. She just feels more inverted and braced again. More chompy. And the tension is worse during the canter. She's starting tilting at the poll again too. Argh. Maybe Kelli is right.. maybe I should go back to more groundwork. Not just pillars but lunging more. I really need to get her lifting her back and relaxing her neck at the canter on the lunge before I can expect her to do it under saddle.
