Clever and Sound

 Lesson with Kelly Eaton

hauled with windows open. pooped over the back of the ramp. Score. ;) for me anyways.. maybe not whoever was behind me

kelly was impressed. Really clever. worked on finessing the contact. Keep my hands low and on the wither. Aim for even contact. Ride the shoulders by moving both hands right or left to help keep her "lego's stacked straight". To keep her spine straight and under mine. Keep her nose between her shoulders. But by riding the shoulders, it helps unlock her so she softens in the contact too.

worked on one leg means go sideways vs both legs mean go. got all busy and nervous, so.. just walk a circle. soft leg aid. gets it but goes forward first (not necessarily a bad thought process, but.. not the exact answer). Also dives onto front right before moving hind. But got some good suceess. Don't drill but do a few each ride.

rode in other bit. Liked it. sound with her hoof castings, but sore on rocks.

Oh, my timing is great, but I release too much. Don't throw it away.. just soften. And when I give.. they take.. but they keep taking, so I keep giving. No just give a little, unless we need to go back to the big bold black and white statements. But for the most part... don't throw it all away holly.
